Since 2021, the BioSupPack project has been transforming brewing byproducts into biodegradable plastic for sustainable packaging solutions. Over 70 batches of spent grain have been shipped across Europe for analysis and production, bringing new life to what was once waste.
By building a network of breweries, the project optimizes grain collection for eco-friendly beer displays in bars and restaurants. Through detailed KPIs, the team assesses durability, consumer perception, and environmental impact, ensuring these innovative materials meet sustainability goals.
